Meredith SNCAE Team Wins at Conference
A Meredith student team won the poster contest at the Student Chapter of the North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE) 2008 conference.
Team members were Brittany Krohn, ’09, Catherine Pannill, ’11, and Kala Stanton, ’09.
The poster contest challenged SNCAE students across the state to create a poster using a “proud to be NCAE” theme. The winning poster became property of the NCAE office and will be reproduced and sent to local chapters across the state.
The Meredith team won a $50 cash prize, which they donated to the organization’s fund for student teachers from Union University in western Tennessee, which was hit by a tornado in February.
Meredith SNCAE faculty advisors are Monica McKinney and Julie Schrock.
The Student North Carolina Association of Educators is a pre-professional organization for undergraduate and graduate students interested in a career in education. SNCAE is a division of the larger North Carolina Association of Educators, the leading professional organization for educators in North Carolina, representing over 65,000 members of the National Education Association, the largest education association in the United States.
