Personal Statement

A summer job at the Wisconsin State Historical Society Library opened the doors to possibilities which combined my interests in American history, political science and libraries. This eventually led to a long career working with federal government publications, mainly at the North Carolina State University Libraries. While there, I was the U.S. Patent and Trademark Librarian, assisting many inventors who were researching their ideas. Since retiring from the NCSU Libraries, I have been fortunate to work here at the Campbell Library.

My outside activities include travel, workteam mission trips with my church, watching NCSU basketball and Mudcats baseball, attending the North Carolina Ballet, and attempting to learn how to play golf.
