Personal Statement

While completing a degree in English, I was a student worker for Media Services. My final paper for Professional Writing was a formal proposal outlining the Library’s need for an additional full-time Media Services employee. A compromise of nearly full-time Media Services and part-time Acquisitions Department was reached in 2008.

I was born in Stonington, CT and have lived in Hope Valley, RI and Virginia Beach, VA, but moved to Cary over 16 years ago, when Elizabeth was just 6 months old. Since much of my family still lives in New England, most of my vacation time is spent there because I miss them (and the ocean) so much. I enjoy gardening, photography, cartwheels and playing with Elizabeth and our puppy, Misty.
