Can I download a computer game?

It depends.

Did you pay for the game?  Of course you can download something you have paid for.

If not, is it freeware or shareware?  Some game creators are glad to share their programming skills freely.  Freeware usually has a license statement attached explaining in what ways you may use and redistribute their software.  Shareware licenses will explain how long you may use the software before you must pay for it or stop using it. You can legally download freeware and shareware.  Be careful not to download a virus, worm, or other nasty piece of programming along with your new game!

All other downloading of computer games will violate copyright law.
