My name is Alyssa Miller and I am a senior double majoring in Studio Art and Psychology at Meredith College. Being a double major has introduced me to many new possibilities within my work as an artist. I love to create works in charcoal, oil paint, and mixed media and with these media I can combine aspects of psychology into my artwork. I am extremely passionate about this area of my life-and I so much appreciate those who have helped my find my path.

I plan to go into graduate school for art therapy upon graduation and study to ultimately be working with children of trauma. Although children are my primary focus, I want to gain as much experience as I can working with and learning about as many people as I can. The areas of focus in this class will hopefully give me new perspectives on groups that I now know very little about and offer ways that I can help those who suffer.
