Wellness Programs at Meredith
Working on Wellness at Work (WOW) is Meredith’s faculty/staff wellness program. The program is open to all Meredith employees at no cost.
WOW offers exercise and educational programming to increase personal awareness regarding each employee’s health and wellness; current health risk status, opportunities for risk reduction, programming for improvements and coaching for the implementation of lifestyle change.
Flu Vaccines: Each flu season, Meredith College makes available flu vaccine for faculty and staff. In 2008, many members of Meredith’s community participated in the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina flu vaccine clinics. The total vaccines given during the three clinics were 389 students, faculty, staff and their family members. In addition, Carroll Health Center has administered 120 influenza vaccinations this fall.
