The Meredith College Department of Music is seeking a Director of Choral Activities for a one year appointment beginning Fall Semester, 2008.  The appointment will be at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level dependent on experience.  Major responsibilities will include conducting the Chorus, Meredith Chorale, and Encore performing groups, supervising student teachers, recruiting and teaching the following additional courses:  Secondary Choral Methods and (F), Choral Conducting-(S).  Candidates must have current licensure and middle and high school teaching experience, with some additional experience in higher education preferred.  Please submit a letter of application, CV, official transcripts, a performance CD or DVD and names and contact information for three references.  Do not send letters of recommendations; they will be requested for finalists for the position.
