Interior Design Programs Student Organizations and Opportunities
Meredith College has a student chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), which promotes professional development in interior design. It is open to students who are earning majors or minors in interior design.
Students can join ASID at a special rate. Member benefits include the following:
- Attend student meetings on campus and professional meetings in the area.
- Receive organization newsletters, the ASID ICON Professional digest as well as ASID ACCESS student-written newsletter.
- Compete for scholarships.
- Be a part of ASID chapter events, seminars, workshops, STEP programs, CEUs and competitions.
- Attend Career Days, introductions to the many career options open to interior design students.
- Use your membership card for special opportunities, including design center admission, some design competitions and chapter program discounts.
- Do research through ASID OnlineS.
- Receive professional advancement discounts upon graduation.

Study Abroad Option
Meredith has a cooperative program for interior design students in Copenhagen, Denmark.
While in Denmark you will learn about the process of interior design as practiced in the Danish tradition, gain an introduction to Scandinavian architecture and design, and more.
