Interior Design

Model HousesMeredith’s interior design major, which leads to a Bachelor of Science degree, provides opportunities for students interested in residential and commercial design.

You will build skills in space planning, programming, computer-aided design and presentation methods. You can also enhance your course work with design internships and participation in the Meredith’s ASID student chapter.

Accreditation
Meredith has the only Council for Interior Design Accreditation accredited interior design program in the Triangle area

Location
Meredith’s location provides an active design community, which supplies numerous opportunities for internships, jobs, speakers and field trips.

Local design professionals support Meredith’s interior design program by participating in a strong mentor program. These professionals also serve on an interior design advisory board, and faculty regularly invite designers to campus for workshops with our students.

Renovated Facilities
Meredith’s interior design program is housed in Martin Hall. Renovated in 2004, Martin includes two interior design studios and one CAD studio, a resource room and a plotter room.
