Why Meredith's Master of Arts in Teaching Program?
Meredith’s Master of Arts in Teaching program offers many competitive advantages—small classes taught by dedicated faculty, convenient scheduling from which you may choose full-time or part-time tracks—which means you earn a quality education that advances your unique professional and personal goals.
Individual Attention
With small class sizes, Meredith’s education faculty and graduate school staff are able to get to know and support you. This personal touch, combined with the program’s overarching emphasis on academic quality and relevance, means as a Meredith MAT graduate, you develop the confidence and knowledge that prepares you to go from our classrooms to your own classroom.
Your Professors
Meredith’s Department of Education faculty serves in leadership roles on the boards of national, state and local education organizations. These talented educators bring a variety of interests and specialties to their classrooms, which contribute to an interactive and well-rounded program. Your professors are actively involved in research, assessment and partnerships with public, private and charter schools.
Program and Tuition
Meredith prides itself on having a comparable program and tuition with area colleges and universities. The tuition is $405 per credit hour, plus a one-time fee for student teaching. Scholarships and grants are available for those who qualify. Please see financial assistance for more information.
Scheduling
During the academic year, classes are held in the late afternoons and evenings Monday through Friday as well as some Saturday mornings to coordinate with the schedule of working professionals who are seeking a career change. Faculty and staff work to accommodate graduate students juggling the demands of the challenging curriculum with their career and personal responsibilities.
