The additional 300 course can be satisfied by any literature course whether offered as a class or special studies project, an advanced conversation course, or a course in business French. It can also be satisfied through home stay in a French-speaking country, 3 semesters of French seminar, an internship or FRE 302 (offered in connection with overseas program).

This course provides students a unique opportunity to study Mandarin Chinese with a native speaker who is an expert in teaching foreign languages. Since this is a one-semester only course, it does not satisfy the General Education foreign language requirement.
