Meredith Scholarships

Individuals, foundations and corporations have endowed a limited number of scholarships at Meredith College to recognize outstanding students. Many of these scholarships are based solely upon achievement, while others consider financial need as a determining factor. The criteria for each scholarship have been determined by the benefactor.

While Meredith is able to offer limited merit scholarships, the College's primary commitment is to provide need-based financial aid in order to enable all qualified students, regardless of financial circumstance, to receive a high-quality education. Students are also encouraged to investigate local and other external scholarship sources such as business, religious, civic and fraternal organizations.

As recognition for outstanding ability and talent, Meredith College sponsors highly competitive scholarship programs. Your admission application is automatically used for scholarship consideration. However, separate applications are required for art, music, interior design, Thomas Meredith Baptist Heritage and Paschal (computer/mathematics) scholarships.

There is no separate application for Meredith Scholarships. Selection is based upon the information provided in the application for admission. For the fullest consideration, students must be accepted for admission to the College by the priority admissions application deadline of February 15.

Competitive scholarship awards are renewable each year if recipients maintain the required academic average. Scholarship winners may also qualify for need-based financial aid awards.

For questions concerning scholarships, contact Sandra Rhyne, Assistant Director of Financial Assistance for Scholarships and Campus Work, at (919) 760-8841 or rhynesan@meredith.edu.
