What is a "Writing Intensive" (or WI) course?

Writing-Intensive (WI) courses include formal (graded) and informal (ungraded) writing assignments to help students learn the content of courses and discipline-specific ways of thinking and writing.

How many WI courses do I have to take?

One course in the general education requirements should be designated WI.
