* FAME Awards – In 1977, the Meredith College Board of Associates established an endowment to assure the College’s capability to attract and retain the best faculty available. The Faculty Applied Meredith Endowment, known as “FAME,” was created to provide support for faculty. Two alumnae of the College, Laura Harrill and Pauline Davis Perry, provided leadership and initiated financial support for the FAME endowment. Annually, six FAME awards are presented to faculty with support from the endowment.
