2. Expand the proposal according to the guidelines of the sponsor. Use a detailed budget proposal spreadsheet: Meredith College Copy of BudgetTemplate.xls http://files.meredith.edu/xythoswfs/webui/_xy-58804_1-t_rJqOclz0
3. Write a budget justification to clarify the budget numbers.
4. When grant proposal is awarded, complete Awarded Grant Budget Form: http://www.meredith.edu/facgrants/forms.htm
to set up the account for the grant. This form will designate which categories have been approved for the grant.
5. PI is responsible for the funds of the grant. Set up a spreadsheet (or have your dept. asst. set up spreadsheet) to monitor grant balances.
6. Accounting will grant access to Informer to check to check invoices and receipts that have cleared. Paper copies should come from accounting periodically.
