Status of Girls Report is Focus of March 25 Women's History Celebration Bookmark and Share
Meredith College’s “The Status of Girls in North Carolina” report offers for the first time a detailed compilation of data that documents factors that impact girls’ lives within the state, and provides an opportunity to increase the College’s visibility among business and community leaders.

The campus community will get an opportunity to learn more about the report during a Women’s History Month event on March 25, 2013. Sponsored by the North Carolina Council for Women and the Women’s Giving Network of Wake County, this event will be held in Belk Dining Hall from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Campus visitors can view a map of Meredith College here.

In addition to highlights from the Status of Girls in North Carolina and the Status of Women in North Carolina reports, the celebration will include a keynote address by UNC Center for Women’s Health Research Director Wendy Brewster, exploring past challenges and future opportunities in medical research designed to help women.

Public Tickets: The cost to attend is $10 ($11.34 with service fee). The registration fee covers the price of lunch. Public tickets are available here: www.brownpapertickets.com/event/346893.

A limited number of complimentary tickets are available to Meredith community members. Email marketing@meredith.edu to reserve a ticket.
