Interior Design Students Win Recent Competitions Bookmark and Share
Three Meredith College interior design students were recognized for their work in recent competitions.

Sophomore Emily Dunneisen received a scholarship of $1,500 from PAVE's Student Aid Program. The Planning and Visual Education Partnership's (PAVE) objective is to encourage students to study in the field of retail design and planning and visual merchandising. Dunneisen is the first Meredith student to receive a scholarship from PAVE.

Senior Kate Horney won the Kravet Pin-nacle of Design Pinterest Contest. Top boards were identified based on the total number of likes, comments and repins each board received on its individual photos. Kravet Inc., established in 1918, is the industry leader in the to the trade home furnishings industry.

Senior Amber Woody recognized as a top senior design student received the Rising Star Award from the Carolinas Chapter International Furnishings and Design Association on November 7, 2012 at their “Night of Luminaires” event in High Point, N.C. Woody represented Meredith College’s Interior Design program as did other Star Students from other Interior Design Programs across the state.
