Hijab Awareness Week November 18-21

The Muslim Student Association proudly presents a week-long series of events, Hijab Awareness Week, an in-depth look at Women in Islam.

MONDAY, November 18th – Test your Knowledge
Truths and myths about the Hijab.
12 p.m.- 4 p.m. in Cate Center lobby

TUESDAY, November 19th- Ask why?
Talk to a Meredith Muslim and ask why?

  • We will be wearing Dark Blue Scarves!!

All day, anywhere on Campus

WEDNESDAY, November 20th- Booth
Try on a headscarf, enter a raffle, and learn more about the Hijab. 12 p.m.– 4 p.m. in Cate Center lobby

THURSDAY, November 21st – Hijab for a day/Q&A Panel, 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium
Try to wear a headscarf for the day and come to the panel to listen to our main speaker alongside with some students and other members in the community. Share your experience!
The Q&A panel counts as an Academic/Cultural event in general education.
