Work Experience

Martin P. McNamee is an Assistant Professor of English and Director of the Professional Writing Program.  He specializes in British Romanticism. His academic interests include professional writing, management communication, and detective fiction.  A Danforth Fellow, he taught at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he also served as the Writing Center Director.  At Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, he taught in the MBA program and was the Assistant Director of the Management Communication Center.  At Meredith College, he has taught courses in composition, professional writing, and British literature.  He also advises professional writing minors and Honors students.
