Work Experience

Professional biography

Martha Burpitt, professor and Program Coordinator of Interior Design, joined the Meredith faculty in 1991. Her teaching experience includes Brenau University in Gainesville, Ga., University of Georgia in Athens, and Salem College in Winston-Salem, N.C. In addition to teaching, Dr. Burpitt continues to do freelance interior design work, primarily in residential design. She has received awards for Excellence in Teaching from the University of Georgia and Meredith College. She has also been recognized for outstanding advising by Meredith College. She is a professional member of the Interior Design Educators Council and is National Council for Interior Design Qualification certified.
