Professional biography

Jim Waddelow joined the faculty of Meredith College as Director of Instrumental Activities in 2007 where he conducts the Meredith Sinfonietta, White Iris Light Opera, and musical theater productions. He is the Music Director for the Raleigh Symphony Orchestra and Artistic Director of the Oklahoma Haydn Festival. A well-know string pedagogue, and clinician, he has conducted numerous all-state and all region orchestras, and he has been the Director of Strings at the Inspiration Point Summer Music Camp in Eureka Springs, Arkansas since 1999. Previous appointments include the Oklahoma Youth Orchestra, Lubbock Youth Symphony, Lubbock Moonlight Musicals, and Texas Tech University.
