Areas of Expertise
- My primary professional interest is postsecondary statistics education.
- Most of my research publications involve either the development of new nonparametric statistical methods or the use of nonparametric methods in teaching statistics.
After completing her Ph.D. in 1978, E. Jacquelin Dietz joined the Department of Statistics at NC State University. During the 1980’s, she worked and published in the area of multivariate nonparametric statistical methods. In 1993, she became the founding editor of the Journal of Statistics Education, which is celebrating its 20th year of publication this year. Since then, most of her professional efforts have involved editorial work for several journals, service to professional organizations, and involvement in the AP Statistics program. In 2004, she moved from NC State to Meredith College, where she teaches primarily statistics courses.
