Areas of Expertise
- Teaching young children with autism using Applied Behavior Analysis and Discrete Trial Teaching
- Exploring the use of assistive technology to aid in communication development for non-verbal children with autism
- Developing behavior strategy plans for both children with special needs and neurotypical children.
Hilary Wilkinson graduated from Meredith College with a B.A. in psychology and speech communications and attended Radford University for graduate school, earning an M.S. in counseling psychology. She is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in North Carolina and Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®). She has worked for the Meredith College Autism Program since 2003 and is currently the Associate Director for the program. She also serves as a behavioral consultant for the MAP. In addition to her duties with the MAP, she periodically serves as adjunct faculty for the Meredith College Department of Psychology.
