Community Dance Class Passes
Community members who wish to take class at Meredith may do so as space permits. For Fall, 2012 there is space in the following classes. Class passes are good for any combination of classes.
Fall Semester: August 15th-November 28th, 2012
Modern III with Alyson Colwell-Waber T/H 11-12:20
Jazz II with Eleanor Smith T/H 12:30-1:50
Ballet III with Eleanor Smith T/H 3:30-4:50
Master classes as available
10-class pass $150; $120 for Meredith Alumnae and students (high school or college)
Single classes $18; $15 for Meredith Alummae and students (high school or college)

Community Day of Dance: January 19th, 2013
Community Day of Dance is a fundraiser produced by Nu Delta Alpha, the honor society for Dance, that gives dancers in the community a chance to take classes and share their choreographic works with Meredith Dance students. Classes will include beginning to advanced levels of modern, ballet, jazz, tap, and a classes for children specially designed to introduce them (and their parents) to dance class. Advanced modern and yoga for dancers will also be offered to advanced dancers age 17 and up.

Affiliate Artist Program
The Affiliate Artist program is designed to support regional dance artists in the creation of new work for the NC Dance Festival in Raleigh, and to foster the relationship between local dance artists and the Meredith Dance Program.
The 2012 Affiliate Artist is Ashley Spears, a 2009 Meredith alumna.
We will accept applications for the 2013 season until August 15th, 2012. The 2013 Affiliate Artist will have the opportunity to rehearse intensively at Meredith College from October 2012-September 2013. They will perform up to 12 minutes on the North Carolina Dance Festival Raleigh concert and should therefore be working in the Triangle area. Affiliate Artists and up to three company members will receive class passes for technique classes for both Fall and Spring semester. Exact rehearsal times and class arrangements will be arranged with the Affiliate Artist upon acceptance. Stipend for the Affiliate Artist will be $200.

1. Required: Current professional vita
2. Required: 10–20 minute sample of choreography including at least one full, un-edited work of at least 4 minutes. VHS or DVD accepted
3. Required: An artist statement of 200 words or less that describes your current choreographic interests
4. Optional: copies of reviews
5. Optional: return, postage paid envelope if you would like materials returned to you
