Center for Women in the Arts
The Center for Women in the Arts provides a venue for Meredith and the greater community to interact as, together, we examine important issues through the arts. All events sponsored by the Center are open to the general public.
The Center comprises the departments of Dance and Theatre, Music and Art.
What We Do:
• Unite faculty, students, campus and community for learning, research, creation and performance;
• Bring noted creative professionals to campus through campus residencies, workshops, panel discussions and performances;
• Contribute to a campus environment that actively supports the pursuit of a career in visual art, dance, theatre or music.
The Center for Women in the Arts, along with the Center for Women, Ethics and Public Life and the Center for Women in Science and Mathematics make up a consortium that is supported by the Institute for Women’s Leadership.
