The 2015-16 academic year is a special one in the life of Meredith College, as our community celebrates 125 years since the College’s founding in 1891.
During the week of February 22 – 27, 2016, various activities were scheduled for faculty, staff and alumnae on campus and in the local area. Social media coverage and challenges throughout the week allowed the larger Meredith community to participate in the excitement.
Highlights included a Meredith College exhibit at The City of Raleigh Museum during the month of February, a 125th celebration poetry contest, and the unveiling of a new historical marker on campus. Meredith also held its first highly successful 24 Hour Giving Day on February 23.The week culminated with campus-wide celebrations of Meredith’s 125 years of Going Strong and the announcement of the goal for Beyond Strong | The Campaign for Meredith.
Meredith's week-long celebration of its founding ranged from a convocation that commended Thomas Meredith to the launching of the public phase of Beyond Strong | The Campaign for Meredith.
