World Trust Educational Services, Inc., Executive Director Shakti Butler will present her documentary “The Way Home” at Meredith College on Thursday, March 22 at 6 p.m. in Kresge Auditorium.

Butler, whose work as a creative and visionary bridge builder has challenged and inspired learning for over 21 years, is the producer and director of the groundbreaking documentary, “The Way Home.”

“The Way Home” shows what happened when eight ethnic councils of women came together to talk honestly about race, gender, class and culture in the United States. Butler will facilitate discussion with the audience after the viewing. Her speaking style incorporates group participation, dialogue, critical self-inquiry and whole body learning.

Butler’s visit is part of Meredith’s observation of Women’s History Month. The documentary showing and discussion is free and open to the public.
