Website Redevelopment Process Begins

The Website Development Advisory Committee has begun its work to determine the future of www.meredith.edu and improve the process of maintaining Meredith’s web presence.

The purpose of the Meredith College website is to support all functions of the College through electronic and interactive communication with its various audiences, internal and external, with particular emphasis on student recruitment and fundraising. This communication includes admissions, academic, administrative, promotional, development, and alumnae-, parent- and student-focused content.

Electronic Communications Manager David Timberlake is serving as chair of the Website Development Advisory Committee.  Individuals who represent each of the audiences served by the website have been appointed to the redevelopment committee by President Jo Allen.

Committee members are:

  • Human Resources Director Pam Davis,
  • Managing Director of Marketing Karen Dunton
  • Associate Professor of Dance Carol Finley,
  • Emily Hawkins, ’14, student,
  • Director of Admissions Jen Miller-Hogg,
  • Director of The Meredith Fund Jane Mitchell,
  • Departmental Assistant Kathy Palmieri,
  • Web Applications Developer Andy Richards,
  • Campus Computing Technologist Diane Sherman,
  • Academic & Career Planning Director Marie Sumerel,
  • Coordinator of Disabilities Services Jill Triana, and
  • Systems Engineer Robert Williams.

The committee’s initial effort will be to redevelop www.meredith.edu in order to meet the needs of current students, prospective students, parents, alumnae, friends and the community.

The ongoing committee will be responsible for identifying the College’s website needs and priorities, implementing objectives, and developing future initiatives for continued improvement and effectiveness of specific areas of the College’s website.

As part of its work, the committee will solicit input on website use from campus community members in a variety of ways. Look for more information in future issues of Campus Connections.
