The goal of Meredith’s Working on Wellness at Work (WOW!) program is to provide programming that assists participants in identifying their current health risk status, opportunities for risk reduction, programming for improvements and coaching for the implementation of positive lifestyle change.
We do this by offering each employee the opportunity to participate in a variety of programs. Some programs take place on campus, and some are individual and self-directed. ALL are designed to recognize and support healthy lifestyle habits and by being a member of WOW! your efforts are noticed.
Remember, each year when your benefits representatives "shop" for the best healthcare coverage, our providers look at what our employees are doing, or not doing, to improve the health status of our community. So whether you participate in on-campus programs, wellness programs supported by our provider as well as others, or tracking the activities you do on your own, what you do matters.
WOW! is FREE and Membership Benefits Include:
• Annual fitness assessment
• Annual Exercise recommendations
• Wellness Coaching
• On-campus group exercise classes
• Wellness Release Time
• Access to all educational and incentive-based programming offered through or supported by WOW! (details of specific programs located on the campus wellness web page @ www.meredith.edu/wellness on the WOW! (employee wellness) page.

BCBS Wellness Programs
Play an active role in the college’s financial success by participating in WOW! and Blue Cross Blue Shield prevention and wellness programming.
Meredith College is part of a program called “healthy outcomes” and when we meet certain criteria (annual exams, preventative screening, nutrition counseling, participating in Blue Points and completing a Health Assessment) we become eligible for discounts when it is time to negotiate and renew our healthcare plan for the college. Whether you participate here or there, just participate!
