By Jean Gambrill, Assistant Director of The Meredith Fund
Assistant Professor in Nutrition, Health, and Human Performance Beth Gankofskie heard the need for faculty and staff to make gifts to the College and took immediate action. Now, Gankofskie is encouraging her colleagues to make a gift of any size to Meredith, and her goal is 100% participation from the School of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.
Because Gankofskie wants the best for Meredith, she faithfully goes around the office collecting money.
“I see faculty and staff support as a key component that speaks volumes to the public about our commitment and confidence as educators, researchers and citizens,” Gankofskie said. “I want Meredith to be able to compete for every opportunity that allows the institution to be eligible for endowments, grants, employer matching or whatever we can to support development and progress for students, faculty/staff and alumnae.”
The School of Education, Health and Human Sciences is close to 100% participation.
“It is not the amount that is important. It is the commitment that counts,” Gankofskie said. “Much like any initiative, taking the first step can be the greatest challenge, and I am out there collecting. Angel Pride!”
To make your gift today, please visit our Faculty and Staff Giving Initiative webpage.
Thank you for making your gift to the College! Your participation keeps Meredith strong as we compete with other colleges and universities for much needed funding. Members of Institutional Advancement are excited to see the commitment on campus, and we have all pledged our own support. We look forward to partnering with you and advancing the success of Meredith.
