
Welcome to Campus Connections: the newsletter for Meredith faculty and staff.
We hope the new name reflects the important role Meredith faculty and staff play in connecting the College to the community on campus and beyond. We also hope this newsletter will build stronger connections between Meredith employees.
This publication is a revamp of In A Nutshell; the changes are a result of the input you provided through a readership survey conducted last spring. More than 100 faculty and staff participated in the survey.
According to the survey, Meredith employees would like to receive news in a more timely and concise format. Campus Connections will be published twice each month, except in December.

The Meredith College Board of Trustees has begun its work to find President Maureen Hartford’s successor. Hartford will retire in June of 2011 after 12 years as Meredith’s president.
I am very happy to be a regular contributor to the newly-designed Campus Connections. I plan to make these bi-weekly notes short and full of information that may be of interest to Meredith employees.
On Friday, September 17, 2010, the Office of Admissions welcomed 126 high school seniors and 125 of their guests at Meredith’s first Senior Visitation Day of the year. Of those 126 students, 45 submitted applications during the event, which was an increase of eight from last year.
