Fall Brings Three Wellness Programs for Meredith Employees
Submitted by Susan Drury-Rohner

Meredith’s Working on Wellness at Work (WOW!) program is featuring three special programs for participating faculty and staff.

walktober

Walktober is back again this year and there’s never been a better time to join us in this super easy walking program!

We ask that you dedicate the month of October to initiating a walking program.  Already walking regularly? This is a great opportunity to set some new and challenging goals. Once again, employees can participate in individual and team opportunities.  Incentives include weekly prizes and a Grand Prize in both the individual and team category.

Registration is now open. The program began Friday, Sept. 30 and runs through October.

Just 4 U
Make healthier Lunch Choices @ Belk Dining Hall in just eight weeks and you will be eligible to win a FREE Kindle! WOW! is excited to announce our partnership with Meredith Campus Dining to assist you in your efforts to choose healthier options when dining on campus. With their Just4U program, making healthy choices has become easier than ever because it helps you to identify and choose foods that fit your life, your needs and your preferences.

Registration is now open; program began Monday, September 26 and continues through November 18.

Fitness Assessments
Now would be a great time to find out what your fitness strengths are and the areas that could use some focus. Fitness Assessments have always been available to WOW! members for free, but for three weeks only, we’ll treat you to a movie when you complete a fitness assessment and exercise prescription appointment.

To earn the movie ticket incentive, fitness assessments must be completed between Monday, October 10 and Friday, October 28.  Appointments will be with one of our Exercise Sport Science honors students and under direct supervision of ESS faculty.  Contact kinglydi@email.meredith.edu to schedule your appointment.

Must be a member of WOW! to participate. Go to our web page for quick and easy online registration.
