Associate Professor of Biological Sciences Karthik Aghoram and Professor of Biological Sciences Francie Cuffney published an article "Navigating the treacherous waters of advising international pre-medical students" in The Advisor, the quarterly journal of the National Association of Advisors for the Health Professions (Vol 32, No 3, 19 - 22).

 

Executive Director of Marketing Kristi Eaves-McLennan was selected from more than 5,000 submissions to be featured in The 2013 Woman’s Advantage Shared Wisdom Calendar. The calendar, released October 15, provides advice for women business owners from influential women leaders across the US and around the world. Eaves-McLennan’s advice, which appears on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, is “Share as much as you can with your team. They can't see the big picture if you're in their line of sight.”

 

Several graphic projects by Associate Professor of Art Woody Holliman have been selected for publication in “Portfolios & Self-Promotions: A Seductive Collection of Alluring Graphic Design” by Rockport Publications. Rockport is the world’s preeminent publisher of illustrated resource books for graphic designers. 

 

Associate Professor of English Kelly Roberts presented a paper titled "Curriculum Mapping and the Common Core in English Language Arts: Start at the Very Beginning" at the North Carolina English Teachers Association, held in September at UNC-Charlotte's City Centre Campus.
