The Second Annual Holiday Art Sale, hosted by the Meredith College Department of Art, will feature handcrafted work by students and faculty. Proceeds are divided between the artist and the Department of Art, to fund the Meredith Art Student Support (MASS) Grant. Items include scarves, pottery, jewelry, prints, drawings, paintings and ornaments.

 

The 2009 sale funded two MASS grants and the production of a 2011 calendar designed by Meredith students. The calendar, featuring student work, will be available for $7 and all proceeds will support the department’s ongoing efforts to raise money and support art majors.

Thanksgiving Holiday
The Meredith College campus will close at noon on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, for the Thanksgiving holiday.  The campus will reopen on Monday, November 29, 2010.

 

Local and Fair Trade Market

The Office of Student Leadership and Service will be hosting a holiday market focusing on local, fair trade, and sustainable products from various Triangle vendors. Get some of your holiday gift shopping out of the way before the semester ends and promote sustainable consumer practices all at the same time. Booth fees will be used to help supplement LeaderShape® scholarships.
