Meredith Commencement to be Held May 8

Commencement Meredith College will hold 2011 commencement exercises on Sunday, May 8, at 10 a.m. in McIver Amphitheater. Approximately 510 degrees are scheduled to be conferred by Meredith College during the ceremony.

 

Meredith will confer Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Social Work degrees upon graduates of the undergraduate program, as well as master’s degrees in business, education, music and nutrition. These include degrees completed in August 2010, December 2010 and May 2011.

 

The commencement address will be delivered by U.S. Coast Guard Vice Admiral Sally Brice-O’Hara. She is the second woman to serve as the U.S. Coast Guard’s second in command and chief operating officer.

11 a.m. – Jones Auditorium

Class Day
4 p.m. – Amphitheater

Class of 2011 Picnic
6 p.m. – Courtyard

Sunday, May 8, 2011
Commencement
10 a.m. – Amphitheater
(rain location – Dorton Arena, N.C. State Fairgrounds)
