Faculty/Staff Accomplishments

Assistant Professor of Exercise and Sports Science Susan Drury-Rohner, Director of the Health Center Sherri Henderson and Admissions Counselor Meredith Secosky are serving as cluster facilitators for Meredith College’s 2011 LeaderShape session.

Managing Director of Marketing Karen Dunton has been accepted into the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), a membership-based organization that provides women with tools and resources designed to help them achieve professional success.

Assistant Professor of Art Warner Hyde was an invited artist/lecturer at UNC-Chapel Hill, where he exhibited his ceramic sculptures and gave a gallery talk at The Knapp Sanders School of Government. The events were part of their SOGreen sustainability series, which was featured for Earth Day. He discussed and showed images from his Honors Colloquia, “Environmental Art, Ethics, and Spirituality.”

Hyde was also selected as one of 12 artists (six women and six men) from across the U.S. who were invited to work with the Japanese ceramics master Shozo Michikawa, during his visit to the US.
“The 12 of us will create work and fire it in five different Japanese-style wood kilns at Judith Duff's studio in Cedar Mountain, N.C., during the month of May,” Hyde said.

Electronic Communications Manager David Timberlake completed a four-day Train-ee ExpressionEngine training session. ExpressionEngine is a content management system used to build and maintain websites.
