Meredith College will formally install Jo Allen as its eighth president on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at 10 a.m. The ceremony will be held at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium.
Allen’s installation holds special significance for Meredith College. A member of the Class of 1980, she is the first alumna to serve as Meredith’s president.
The theme of Allen’s inauguration is "Remembering Our Roots, Extending Our Reach," which celebrates Meredith’s 121-year history in Raleigh, N.C., and the College’s current status as one of the largest women’s colleges in the United States.
