Assistant Professor of Art Warner Hyde was one of 12 artists selected from across the U.S. to work with the Japanese ceramics master Shozo Michikawa during his visit to the U.S. The artists created work and fired it in five different Japanese-style wood kilns in Cedar Mountain, N.C. Assistant Athletics Director/Sports Information Director Greg Jarvis was chosen by the NCAA to be a facilitator for the 2011 NCAA Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, Ind.  He attended training on May 22-24, then on June 10-16 facilitated at the forum, which was attended by student athletes from across the nation.    

 

Vice President for College Programs Jean Jackson, Athletics Director Jackie Myers, Head Athletic Trainer/Senior Woman Administrator Sharon Malley, Assistant Athletics Director/Sports Information Director Greg Jarvis, Head Volleyball Coach Fiona Barkley and Head Softball Coach Kim Scavone attended the USA South Athletic Conference Integration Symposium in Danville, Va., on May 24-25.

 

Assistant Director of Admissions Cricket McCoy and Marketing Office Manager Kaye Rains served as team captains for Meredith’s Race for the Cure team. The team, known as “Meredith Cares,” included more than 100 members who participated in the 15th annual NC/Triangle Race for the Cure on Saturday, June 11, 2011.
