Meredith College Dance Community Day of Dance

A fundraiser for Meredith College's Nu Delta Alpha chapter, advanced Meredith students and Meredith faculty will offer classes in ballet, jazz, hip-hop, world, modern and tap for beginning through advanced dancers ages 6 and up. Introduction to Dance classes for very beginning students ages 2-5 and 6-10 will also be offered. For dancers 17+ Meredith faculty will teach advanced modern.

Meredith’s first TEDx event will feature 15 speakers and groups presenting on the theme “Through a Sustainable Lens: Economic, Educational, and Environmental Sustainability." Student Kristen Gallagher has organized this special event for the Meredith campus. MBA Preview for Prospective Students

The Meredith MBA Program will hold an MBA Preview session, including an information session, class visit and dinner with MBA graduates who will answer questions about their experiences in the program.

Film Screening: “Abandoned Allies”

Wednesday, January 30, 7 p.m., Carswell Hall

 

Documentary Filmmaker Camden Watts, ’03, will screen her film “Abandoned Allies,” about the Montagnards who served as American allies during the Vietnam War. It explores the history of these tribal people, how they supported the U.S. Special Forces during the war, and what has happened since then.  Now, more than 40 years after the war ended, both American and Montagnard soldiers open up about what took place and how it will affect future generations. Watts spent four years on this project, from its inception to its completion in 2012. Visit abandonedallies.com for more information.

The fitness center is open to all faculty and staff and current students during all posted hours.
