New Stationery Program Announced

This semester, Meredith College will begin using a new vendor to provide the College’s stationery, including business cards, letterhead, envelopes and note cards.

The College typically spends $30,000 - $40,000 on stationery annually. Through a competitive bidding process, Universal Printing has been selected to fulfill the College’s stationery needs at a significant savings to offices and departments across campus. Universal Printing is based in Durham, N.C.

The effort was coordinated by Director of Visual Communications Vanessa Harris, with assistance from a team including Executive Director of Marketing Kristi Eaves-McLennan, Director of The Meredith Fund Jane Mitchell, Copy Center Director Kevin Walker, Department of Marketing Office Manager Kaye Rains, Controller Lori Duke, and Assistant to the Director of Admissions Denise Parker.

“We are working with the new vendor to move the ordering process online,” said Eaves-McLennan.

“Departments will be able to use an online system to place orders directly with the vendor, which will save time and improve accuracy.”

The vendor selection process began in October 2010, and included on-site presentations from three potential vendors.

The Department of Marketing is working now to transition to the new vendor. The transition process is estimated to take six to eight weeks.

Meredith faculty and staff who need to order stationery during the transition process should contact Vanessa Harris in the Department of Marketing at ext. 8405 or harrisva@meredith.edu.
