Meredith Named a Most Popular Liberal Arts College
Meredith College is one of the 20 most popular liberal arts colleges in the United States, according to a new list by U.S. News and World Report.
“One of the best indicators of a school’s popularity among students is the school’s yield—the percentage of applicants accepted by a college who end up enrolling at that institution in the fall,” according to U.S. News & World Report.

Local Advertising Campaign Launched
Local television viewers may be seeing more of Meredith College on their screens, thanks to a new advertising campaign. Television ads are airing locally on Time Warner Cable channels including ABC Family, the Food Network and TNT.
Branded with Meredith’s “I Believe” messages, the goal of the campaign is to boost local enrollment by reaching parents, teachers and others who influence prospective students. The ads, which feature Meredith students, re-introduce Meredith College to the audience, and encourage campus visits.
The campaign also includes Facebook ads targeted to alumnae and ads in PTA newsletters at Meredith’s five largest feeder high schools. The Department of Marketing developed the campaign, which will last through mid-February, in partnership with the Office of Admissions and Office of Enrollment.

Senior Visitation Day Held
On Monday, January 24, the Office of Admissions hosted the third Senior Visitation Day of the year. We welcomed 102 high school seniors and 111 of their guests to campus, making it the largest of the January events in recent years. Students came from Virginia, South Carolina, New York, and all across North Carolina for the event. Students were invited to “Get Connected” at Meredith by visiting a class, taking a campus tour, and hearing from current students, faculty and staff.
This year’s Senior Visitation Days welcomed a total of 422 high school seniors and 487 of their guests to campus. Many faculty and staff members were involved in making these events successful. The Office of Admissions is excited about the Class of 2015 and thanks you for your participation!
The Office of Admissions will host the first Junior Visitation Day of the year on Saturday, February 19.
