We have so much happening on campus this month – from Experience Meredith last weekend to Celebrating Student Achievement and Faculty/Staff awards. I thank everyone who is involved in making these celebratory events so successful.
In addition to all of this activity in April, we ended the month of March with the spring Board of Trustees meeting. I have generally reported on the outcomes of the Board of Trustees meeting – so that will be my focus in this note. The Board met on March 25-26 and took the following actions:
• Approved changes in the Investment Committee statement of responsibilities
• Approved the Budget Assumptions for 2011-12
• Elected Nancy Cheek chair of the Board and Maureen O'Connor vice chair of the Board for 2011-12
• Elected the chair/vice chair of each committee
