Study Abroad
As the business environment becomes increasingly global, Business School students are choosing to add an international perspective to their education by studying abroad. There is much to be gained from understanding how different cultural values, political and legal systems, and economic conditions shape a country's economy and financial decisions, affect market entry strategies and marketing mix decisions, and generate a unique business culture and organizational structure. Students can select programs sponsored by Meredith or from those offered by other institutions. In recent years, students have studied in Paris, Madrid, Italy, Denmark, Germany, Great Britain, Melbourne, and Hong Kong.
Business students studied in China, participating in Business in China: Summer 2012, for the unique opportunity to experience the history, culture, and business environment of China. Led by Meredith faculty, students traveled from May 25 to June 8 and visited Shanghai, Suzhou, and Beijing.
A semester abroad takes careful planning to accommodate sequenced courses. The ideal time is either during your sophomore or junior year or in the summer. Particularly exciting is the opportunity to do a relevant internship abroad.
