The American Marketing Association Chapter at Meredith College
The American Marketing Association is a network of nearly 13,000 collegiate and 25,000 professional marketers around the world. The purpose of this organization is to provide students opportunities for practical experience and access to industry knowledge and insight through guest speakers and participation with the local professional Triangle AMA chapter.

Beta Gamma Sigma
Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS) is the International honor society for students enrolled in business programs at AACSB accredited institutions. BGS is the premiere academic honor society for business administration and accounting majors at Meredith. To be selected for membership, students must be in the top 10% of the junior or senior class, or in the top 20% of the MBA class.

Meredith Accounting and Finance Association
The Meredith Accounting and Finance Association was established in 1985 for all students with an interest in the fields of accounting and finance. Informs students of current accounting and finance issues and educates them about career options.

Omicron Delta Epsilon
Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) exists to recognize scholastic attainment and honor outstanding achievements in economics. Students are eligible to join ODE when they have completed at least 12 hours of economics courses and have high academic achievement within those courses and in their overall GPA. Membership in ODE is open to any student who is interested in economics.

Society for Human Resource Management
The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) is a professional society that allows students to participate in programs that will enhance job skills and networking opportunities. Meredith’s chapter consistently earned the designation as one of SHRM’s “Top Ten Chapters” in the United States.
SHRM, which is open to all business majors, is affiliated with the Raleigh-Wake Human Resource Management Association. SHRM also offers a mentor program, as well as visits to corporate sites. Other opportunities include networking, learning interview skills, and benefiting from professionals’ experiences. SHRM strives to create a link between the classroom and the professional world.

Student Business Advisory Board
The Student Business Advisory Board, which serves as a liaison between students and faculty of the School of Business, is composed of elected members and the presidents of the five School student organizations. Members are nominated at the end of each academic year by all business majors at Meredith.
The board plans special functions and projects, takes a leadership role in School activities, and works to improve communications between faculty members and students. The Student Business Advisory Board administers the School of Business Teacher of the Year Award.
