School of Business - Minors
Minors
The School of Business also offers minors of 18-21 hours each in accounting, business administration, economics, finance, human resource management, international business and marketing. Courses within the minors may not be taken for pass-fail grading.
The Accounting minor includes a core of ACC 220, 221, 225, 330, 331, and any two electives chosen from ACC 333, 336 or 337. Not available to Accounting majors.
The Business Administration minor includes a core of ACC 220, BUS 240, 260, ECO 100 or 101, and any three electives chosen from ACC 221, BUS 310, 340, 343, 348, 350, 370, ECO 300 or 301. Not available to Accounting or Business Administration majors.
The Economics minor includes a core of ECO 100, 101, 300, 301, and any two electives chosen from any ECO classes 300 or 400 level, or BUS 474. Not available to Economics majors.
The Finance minor includes a core of ACC 220*, 221, BUS 370 (with a prerequisite of MAT 245), 472, ECO 101*, and one elective. *For each noted course, accounting and business administration majors must choose an additional elective from the list of electives to fulfill this requirement. Electives: ACC 336, BUS 474, ECO 301 or 355.
The Human Resource Management minor includes a core of ACC 220 or ECO 101, BUS 240, 348, 350, and three electives chosen from BUS 352, 452, 458, 481, ECO 335, or ECO 364.
The International Business minor includes a core of ACC 220*, BUS 240, 260, 310, 369, ECO 100*, and 334. *For each noted course, Accounting and Business Administration majors must choose an additional course from the following list to fulfill this requirement: GEO 205 or GEO 368, POL 210 or POL 320, REL 102, SPA 301 or FRE 301, or Study Abroad Experience including courses that contain comparative cultural experience (for example: IDS 300 or IDS 301).
The Marketing minor includes a core of [ACC 220 or ECO 101], BUS 240, 260, 468, and three electives chosen from BUS 361, 365, 369, 466 or 467.
