30 Second Commercials
Accounting students recently engaged in a series of career preparation events such as writing effective resumes, creating appropriate cover letters, developing job search strategies and participating in mock interviews.
In April, accounting students prepared a "30-second commercial" about themselves for use in networking events. The students met in small groups to receive candid, constructive criticism and tips for improvement from Credit Suisse and Micromass Communications. Three students were selected to present their commercials to the entire group followed by final thoughts and recommendations from the employers.
