I came to Meredith College in 1981 where I am presently Professor of Biology and Health Science. I received my Ph.D. in Entomology from North Carolina State University in 1984. I also have a B.S. and M.S. in Zoology. Currently, my research concerns the behavioral adaptations of the Asian Tiger Mosquito. Overall, I would describe myself as a zoologist with specializations in parasitology, entomology and microscopy. As to teaching my primary list would include the following course: Invertebrate Zoology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Parasitology, Histology and Microscopy. In the Governor’s School my course covers such topics as microscopy, parasitology, epidemiology, and invertebrate diversity.
