If Your Child is 3 Years Old or Younger AND You Live 25 Miles or Less from Meredith College Campus, You Qualify for the Research/Meredith Based Model. The Research/Meredith Based Model: This model provides an average of 35 hours of one-on-one teaching per week, conducted by undergraduate students at Meredith College and in the home. Most hours are provided on Meredith College's campus to ensure the consultants ability to provide quality control for the child's programs. In this model the monthly fee includes the Meredith Autism Program (MAP) staff scheduling all sessions, training all students, programming for the child, and training of the parents. The Workshop Model: **Currently there are no consultants available to provide Workshop services** In this model, all teaching techniques, paperwork, and behavioral programming are synanomus with those in the Research/Meredith based model. The key difference is that the family is responsible for finding, paying, and managing the teaching team. Some families who prefer the majority of teaching hours to be in their home, prefer to maintain primary supervision over who works with their child and when the work is done and those families who are less comfortable with the student/coursework approach prefer the Workshop Model to the Research/Meredith Based Model.
