Newport News, Va. – The Meredith volleyball team traveled to the campus of Christopher Newport for a USA South conference tri-match to take on the host Captains and the Ferrum Panthers. The Avenging Angels lost in both matches on the day.

In the opener, Christopher Newport took control in the first two sets winning 25-12 in both. Meredith made the Captains earn the third giving up a 25-22 loss. In the second match for Meredith, the Avenging Angels took the opening set 25-14, only to lose the next three to the Panthers 25-16, 25-21 and 25-19.

Meredith next travels to their cross town rival to take on Peace College on Tuesday.
