Volleyball - Oct. 20
Raleigh, N.C. – The Meredith volleyball team honored their seniors and gained them a win, defeating Methodist 3-2. The Angels avenged their 5-set loss to the Monarchs earlier in the season. Seniors Morgan White and Ashleigh VanDriesen were honored prior to the game.
Meredith (12-13, 6-7 USA South) took the first and third games while Methodist (15-8, 7-6 USA South) took the second and fourth to push it to a wild fifth set. Meredith took the fifth 17-15.
Meredith was led by Morgan White with 17 kills and 17 digs. Mallory Booker and Cori Spade both had 14 kills. Abbey Gupton had 10 kills. MaryBeth Finegan had 27 digs.
Meredith next heads to Christopher Newport on Saturday to take on Ferrum and the host Captains. |
